Krakow, Poland

Thank you for all your prayers and support that have gotten me to this place in my life! I'm overwhelmed and filled with great joy to see the way God is moving in the midst of University students throughout Europe. This past weekend we had the opportunity to join with other staff members of SFC-Europe to pray and encourage one another in our ministries.

We went for a walk in the sentrum & found ourselves being a part
of a parade! Good fun in Poland!!

We were also able to go to Auschwitz, a very sobering & educational experience.

IT'S 2008!!! MAY YOU HAVE A BLESSED YEAR!!!

I had a great Christmas and New Years this year! Jess & I spent time with Elisabeth and her family in Levanger for Christmas. We had the chance to experience a traditional Norwegian Christmas with a family. Though it wasn't MY FAMILY, i felt so blessed to have experienced the holidays with them. we spent many hours in the kitchen baking and learning the tricks to the norsk cooking. I loved making Lefse!! mmm.....

Lovely walk by the sea

Elisabeth's dad got the Macgyver episodes on dvd, so naturally we had to watch a few. I'd forgotten how much i love him! he's like an old school version of Jack Bauer or Michael Scoffield!

ESC-European Student Conference, Nuremberg, Germay
We headed to Germany on the 26th of Dec. and made it into Nuremberg on the 27th!
We wondered the quaint cobbled stone streets and I loved taking pics of the old city buildings and bridges. I really enjoyed this cultural experience of seeing a city that was almost completely destroyed during WWII and has been rebuilt. There is so much history every step you take.

The youth hostel we stayed in aka a sweet action castle!!

Our group we brought from Norway!!

In smaller groups we reenacted Paul & Silas's missionary journey. We got the section when they were thrown in prison! Great fun & creativity.
Most of us were prisoners & sang, "Nobody knows the trouble I've seen"

We experienced the famous Nuremberg sausages, German potato salad & just a bite of
crout( i don't like it much).

Many Dutch students that we traveled around the city with

Was able to hang with old friends and meet a lot of new ones too!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We rang in the new year by watching thousands of fireworks from the castle balcony & with worship songs by a German band, Lightguide. Celebrating new years in Germany, I couldn't help but feel blessed! God truly is SO GOOD! I'm excited to see what this new year has in store! I know there will be much more excitement and experiences to come!
Happy 2008!!

After the conference, Cortney & I headed to Freidberg & Dresden(east Germany) to meet up with a friend, Anne!! It was a short trip, but what a great time to see her again!

Glad to be home now & in anticipation for the new semester to begin. A bit tired since we had about 35 hours of travel to get back to Trondheim! It was worth it & now I've learned what to do when you're stranded in an airport for 8 hours!! In less than a week we're starting up with this new semester and i'm SO EXCITED to be welcoming 2 great friends, Cara & Kevin who are coming to visit for about 10 days!!! I'll be updating when i get a chance, but i'm anticipating a very busy schedule for a few weeks.

May you find yourselves blessed this 2008!!
