it's been a while hasn't it.
i'm sure all ya'll have been busy just as i have been due to the holidays and whatnot.
so...what has kelly been up to?
i drove back to duluth, mn. on the 26th of Dec. and unpacked all of my stuff in lace's house aka my new home. on the 27th lace, josh, amanda and i left duluth and headed toward the cities to meet up w/ the rest of our peeps that were going to the Onething! it was great to take a rest at Ariel's house and see my chums that i haven't seen in 6 months or more.
so...we travled all the way through the night and landed in KC around 4:30am!! haha PTL(praise the Lord) we had connections and crashed at our friend, Sarah's house.
the conference was off the charts incredible for me. it wasn't neccessarily the preaching and all that, it was for sure good, but it was what God was doing in me, just completly blowing me away!!
i could probably write a book about it, so i'll spare you detail by detail, but let's just say that my love for Jesus only intensified! if i did the 6 month internship just for me to end my ihop experience w/ these 4 days of the conference, it was more than worth it!!!
i was super pumped to see some of my homies from the internship! ohh how i love you all! i can't even begin to express the love i have for you!!! the is FOR SURE a special place in my heart for all of you. But i do have to say that it's harder to say goodbye the 2nd time around. i was bumming a lot longer after saying bye than i was after our graduation. hmmm....who knows...
so...we made it back safely on Jan. 1st at 8 pm. thanks to josh for driving the whole time!!! you're a lead footed man, but you're still great!!! haha
i've become comfy cozy here in the attack of our apt. the only hard part has been my lack of warmth in my body aka horrible circulation in a house w/ little to no heat bc of the sky rocketed heating prices. haha i'm living in the arctic. but maybe it's just a training time for Norway since it's so close to the Arctic Circle!!!! either way, i'm making good use of the long underwear the mim gave to me for christmas. never thought i'd have to pull those out!!!!
i'm proud to say that i'm employed!!! i went to my old place of employment to say hi and the first thing they asked me was, "When do you want to work?" I was so pumped! PTL!!!!!
i'm also proud to announce that my pastor, Ryan, and his wife, Krista, had their first baby on Thursday!! she's so beautiful. Aria Ann Bauers! Congrats!!
so...i've been seeminly busy, yet i'm finding truly how much time we have in one day. i've been relaxing, lighting the candles and reading while i have my misty cd on pretty much every night. it's glorious. every day is truly about another time to encounter the Lord, and it's been amazing!
my plans from here are to get in as many hours as i can at Trillium continuing to be a job coach. and to being to support raise for the Norge. along w/ keeping my passion for Jesus alive and stronger as every day goes by.
